Finding Optimal Work- Life Balance
We’ve all heard about the importance of work-live balance, but how exactly do you achieve it?
In short, you don’t. The term “work-life” balance can be misleading. The time you spend on your career and your home life is rarely a 50-50 split. Life will always have something new and unexpected thrown your way.
Take, for example, a short job that lasts all day. Or an attorney who decides at the last minute that a rough draft or final transcript is needed on a rush basis. Better yet, the occasional Friday afternoon when a transcript is unexpectedly needed for a Monday morning trial. So much for the weekend excursion you planned.
So, how do you bring your life back into balance and allow yourself to live your life to its full potential? This edition of our court reporter newsletter offers tips!
